Presentation of the
GINKGO project

Through the cooperation of eight academic and professional partners based in 3 different countries, GINKGO, the social link factory, aims to respond to a major common challenge: preventing the isolation of elder people who are the furthest removed from community life by involving them in social, intergenerational and cultural activities.

Prevent

The isolation of elder people who are the furthest removed from community life by re-engaging them into social activities.

Promote

The values of intergenerational solidarity, social inclusion and intercultural dialogue in the training offered to (future) social work professionals.

Promote

The network and partnership dynamics of the players in the areas concerned, by combining the skills of different sectors such as education, socio-cultural activities and the arts and sports sector.

Encouraging

Participation and active citizenship through access to artistic, cultural and sportive experiences among older people experiencing social isolation in their living area, taking into account their individual circumstances.

GINKGO
RESULTS

Through its objectives and results, the project aims to promote inclusion and diversity in education and training by trying to re-engage the most isolated older people into socialisation processes. The project brings together stakeholders from the fields of training, education, entertainment and culture, and will undoubtedly be enriched by your experiences and your work with senior citizens.

 

 

A modularised training programme of 6 to 8 modules for learners.

A practical, operational guide for professionals, family carers and volunteers.

A video documentary of older people and professionals and a book of illustrated digital testimonies.
